Austin, TX – 83bar, the patient activation company, has added new team members to its content department. Karen Wallingford and Wesley Bingham have joined the growing firm to expand upon dynamic marketing strategies and products, as part of its proprietary lead generation process in the healthcare technology market.
Karen Wallingford joins 83bar as senior content marketing manager. She was born and raised in Upstate New York and moved to Austin by way of Los Angeles, San Francisco and Boston over the past 15 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from the State University of New York and went on to study screenwriting at UCLA. She has been working in digital communications and marketing for the past 10 years in a variety of sectors, with a specific, more recent focus on healthcare marketing.
As the senior content marketing manager, Karen oversees the development of materials from campaign kick off to client deliverables. In this role, she works to maintain an efficient workflow and standard of quality for all creative assets.

Wesley Bingham has been brought on as a content marketing manager at 83bar. He is an Austin native from the Texas Hill Country. Wesley studies creative writing and theatre arts at Texas Tech University and returned to Austin after graduating when he started his career as a writer for a small online marketing firm. After working his way up there to director of social media, he happily made the decision to join us at 83bar.
Wesley’s greatest passions are the five F’s: food, fitness, fashion, futbol and film. He writes creatively whenever he finds the motivation and has enjoyed seeing his work published or produced on the stage.
As a content marketing manager, Wesley will oversee creative initiatives from concept to completion. He will deliver effective marketing materials and editorial plans which meet or exceed client objectives.
